May 25 Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt

After work today, Tall Handsome Son and I set out on a Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt on foot. I “Frankensteined” (to make something from several other similar things) a list of  about 50 random objects from a few online websites, opened up the rules for creative interpretation and let the games begin. We had a blast! This was so much fun. We walked down to our favorite neighborhood Greek Restaurant, Gyros Mediterranean, and along the way we found nearly half of the things on our list. After dinner, we walked around Nob Hill searching for the rest of the items on our Scavenger Hunt List. Here’s how we did:

Take a photo of the state bird. We saw a real life roadrunner right outside of our house, but that sucker was too fast for us to photograph him so we had to take a photo of painted roadrunners

Although we found nearly everything on our list, these were the items we couldn’t find:

  1. fire truck
  2. U-Haul with Arizona license plate
  3. limousine
  4. pregnant woman
  5. stamp – I was looking for a tramp stamp, but school has already let out for summer – darn!

Try to make up your own Scavenger Hunt – I promise you will have fun. We sure did.
