They have my number…

“To some extent, Seattle remains a frontier metropolis, a place where people can experiment with their lives, and change and grow and make things happen.” Tom Robbins

In Seattle and loving it so far. Had a wonderful, waterfront seafood lunch today at Duke’s Chowder House. The Lobster Chowder and Crab Cake Salad were exactly as delicious as you are imagining right now.

I have never visited Seattle so I had to go to the Space Needle Day One. Yep, it is really that high. I was the 57, 995, 636th visitor to the space needle since it opened on April 21, 1962. Also went to the Chihuly Glass Garden = spectacular. I am having a BLAST!!!!

Dinner at The Seastar: grilled white shrimp with asparagus risotto with a medley of sun dried tomato, lemon and thyme with Reggiano Parmigiano. Simply delicious the way the flavors married together. I also had the strawberry spinach salad with enoki mushrooms, walla walla sweet onions, candied cashews bathed in honey-sesame vinaigrette with a chevre filed philo crisp. So good, who needs dessert? Certainly not this girl. Love, love, love!

Seattle is my #1 favorite city that I wasn’t born in. Tokyo is a close 2nd. Been to Seattle countless times and I intend to live there at some point. The glass garden is stunning. Public art is EVERYWHERE. If you have time, visit the Fremont Troll and take pictures. It’s unique and near Lake Union. Gas Works Park is a fun stop on the lake as well, and Riding the Ducks (boards across from the mcdonalds at the needle) is a worthy tour. 13 Coins restaurant has the best French Onion soup I ever had. xo
