December 20 Pinch Pots

Mine is the funky, wavy, one

“When you buy something made by a person there is something special there and you do feel it. The consciousness with which a thing is made is often more important than the thing itself.” J. Donald Walters

Today at the Little Bird de Papel, a quaint art studio with beautiful handmade items in Albuquerque, I made a pinch pot for the first time ever. A pinch pot is a simple form of handmade pottery. The Little Bird de Papel Studio offered a free pinch pot lesson to all who enter their studio today. It took about thirty minutes and was such a pleasure to work with the ladies of the art studio, Vicki and Deborah. They have lots of art for sale in their studio. The Little Bird de Papel Art Studio is located at 1222 Mountain Road NW in Albuquerque, in a baby blue building. They have one-of-a-kind, original, frameable, art, jewelry, handmade cards and the cutest little origami cranes everywhere (those must be the Little Birds de Papel). Check it out in person if you are in the area, or on etsy here.
